 “Unseen” by Andrew Ogorodnikov   Thurs 8th 18.00 -18.45 p.m.

This is a story about a chance meeting of two on the abandoned road. They are divided by age, loneliness and worlds. A fleeting exchange of greetings and thus the open space of trust. They understand each other. Probably only two sincere people can achieve clear simplicity. Or maybe it is just the "stranger on a train” phenomenon, when it is easy to open a heart in an evanescent conversation to someone who will never meet you again, will not know... Or already did and more than others.

“Utøya 22. Juli” (engl. «U-July 22») by Erik Poppe  Fri 9th 10.00 - 11.30 a.m.

(drama film, Norway 2018, 90 min., Norwegian with English subtitles)  - Based on a true story

The film is a re-enactment of the Utøya summer camp massacre that took place on 22 July 2011, shot in one single take in real time. It is based on historical events, but the characters are fictional. The massacre took place at the island just few kilometres outside of Hønefoss and the residents of Ringerike municipality are deeply moved by the memories of it. The purpose of the film is to promote understanding of the victims of this cruel disaster, as seen from their side. The film was selected to compete for the Golden Bear at the 68th Berlinale. “U – July 22” received eight nominations and won two of the 2018 Amanda Awards during the Norwegian Int. Film Festival in Haugesund.
